Holy Cross offers three different worship opportunities and three different ‘styles' of worship to meet the different and changing needs of our members and the community around us as we join together to praise and thank God for all His gifts to us and receive from Him the gifts of forgiveness, new life, and salvation through faith in Jesus who comes to us through the Word and Holy Sacraments.
Worship opportunities include:
Sunday morning at 8:00am - Traditional Worship (every Sunday)
Sunday morning at 10:30am - Blended Worship (1st and 3rd Sundays)
Sunday morning at 10:30am - Worship & Praise (2nd, 4th, and 5th Sundays)
Monday evening at 7:00pm - Traditional Worship
Holy Communion is celebrated at all worship services each weekend except those services in which our dayschool children are scheduled to sing.
‘Styles' of worship include:‘Traditional' - This service is built around the liturgies and hymns contained in our Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod's newest hymnal offering - "Lutheran Service Book". The organ is the primary instrument that leads this worship service.
‘Blended' - This service joins together elements of both traditional and contemporary forms of worship as well as a blend of hymns and more contemporary Christian songs. An electronic keyboard is the primary instrument for leading this worship service.
‘Worship & Praise' - This service is led by our ‘Sanctuary' choir (guitarists, vocalists, drums, and keyboard) and offers a contemporary form of worship that contains all the elements expected in Lutheran worship but in a format and atmosphere that meets the diversity and changing needs of families today.
Children's Messages are included in all our worship services and is offered to our younger worshippers to bring the Word of God to their level of understanding and application.
Sunday School and Adult bible classes are offered every Sunday morning
9:15am - Sunday school for preschoolers through highschool students.
9:20am - Bible classes (large variety) for adults.
